76 | Removal of President

National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) Draft Constitution (2001)

The National Assembly and Senate may, by a resolution adopted with the support of not less than two thirds of their total membership, remove the President from office on the grounds of: -

    1. gross misconduct rendering the President unfit to continue in office or
    2. inability to perform the functions of his or her office by reason of infirmity of body or mind or
    3. a violation of this Constitution.
