  • Murambatsvina Drive out the Trash

    Remember Murambatsvina!

'Murambatsvina' translates to 'Drive Out Trash' - where 'trash' refers to the approximately 700,000 innocent Zimbabweans who had their homes and livelihoods destroyed by the Zanu PF government. The victims of Mugabe's Operation Murambatsvina are still waiting for justice and recourse. Send an e-card and make sure Mugabe and Zanu PF know that we will never forget what has been done to us.

  • Be an 'action hero'

    Vote in the run-off!

These ecards are designed to help keep the spirit of hope alive in Zimbabwe as we head towards the run-off election. Please use them to send positive message to Zimbabweans and to reassure them everyday that we stand in this together, and people around the world are watching over them. We are not alone.

Zimbabweans went to the polls on the 29th March 2008 and spoke out. For the first time in 28 years, Zanu PF lost their parliamentary majority and Robert Mugabe lost the presidential elections. The results, although indicative of losses to the party and Robert Mugabe, have been widely condemned as flawed. The belief of many is that the intentionwas for Zanu PF to secure a run-off election, and to ensure a victory for Robert Mugabe in this second election.

Since the elections on 29th March, Zimbabwe has seen widescale gross violence and an incredible violation of human rights in state-orchestrated reprisal attacks on civilians. The ruling party is clearly trying to intimidate and harrass the population into voting for Robert Mugabe in the run-off election.

  • Unity - Stand Up (for) Zimbabwe

    Stand Up (for) Zimbabwe

The 25 May is commemorated annually as Africa Day, recalling the founding of the Organization of African Unity, now the African Union, in 1963. Flowing from the communiqué issued by the African Civil Society Meeting held in Dar es Salaam in April 2008, we ask concerned organizations regionally and internationally to commemorate Africa Day, Sunday 25 May 2008, as one on which to show solidarity for the people of Zimbabwe - a "Stand Up (For) Zimbabwe" Day.

Information on how to organise your own Stand Up (for) Zimbabwe day here.

    Supporting Zimbabwe's youth

Send an e-card to support Zimbabwe's youth in their struggle against tyranny and oppression. They are literally fighting for their future. Many in Zimbabwe would consider a life-threatening swim across the Limpopo River to South Africa as their best chance of employment. A choice between facing crocodiles and drowning, or Robert Mugabe's regime, is no choice at all for a young person. The only option is to stand against tyranny, and fight for the future.

    Zimbabwean Cricket Terms

    Robert Mugabe once said:

"Cricket civilizes people and creates good gentlemen. I want everyone to play cricket in Zimbabwe; I want ours to be a nation of gentlemen"

This series of e-cards defines cricket terms as they really apply in Zimbabwe today. Send an e-card to say that what's happening in our country is just not cricket.
