In Zimbabwe the war vets fought for Mugabe not the liberartion of a country. By the way they are not yet liberated themselves, but are stooges used to effect by a selfish tyrant.

Speaking anything anti zanu is treasonous. Treason has been reinterpreted, democracy redefined along mugabe's designs.

Zanu is the people? but the people's will is no longer zanu. Remember the 80s songs(zanu vanhu vhanhu izanu; maruza here, maruza imi)

Remember mugabe's constant reference to the people and doing everything for the people (a perveted Maoist concept). Which people was/is he refering to. A figment of his dictatorial imagination and an overused expression whose meaning he himself can't come to comprehend.

Since he has been in leadership he has never refered to Zimbabwe as OUR country. Always MY country and MY government. Now it is evidently showing.
Reply to this comment --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('264371','Mfan\'ekhaya','In Zimbabwe the war vets fought for Mugabe not the liberartion of a country.
The international organisation Genocide Watch reported about a week ago that Zimbabwe was on 'stage 6' which is the last stage before full blown genocide (or politicide) breaks out.
This Horror Ward is another sign that Mugabe is not in the slightest bit interested in 'negotiations' and is just, as usual, stringing the world (apart from SA, Russia and China, of course, who couldn't give a damn about the abuses going on in Zim) along.
Reply to this comment --- Quote from this comment

@ Hope

These lastest developments against Sudan's Bashir, will only give us much hope that Mugabe and many of his henchmen will also be in line for similar treatment some time in the very near future.

Mugabe must be getting worried, and that should create more disarray in the leadership.

The regime now has so many fronts to combat that one wonders if they are getting any sleep. Who knows, some of them may soon "fly the coop", so to speak.
Reply to this comment --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('263213','Faraway','@ Hope\r\n\r\nThese lastest developments against Sudan\'s Bashir, will only give us much hope that Mugabe and many of his henchmen will also be in line for similar treatment some time in the very near future.\r\n\r\nMugabe must be getting worried, and that should create more disarray in the leadership.\r\n\r\nThe regime now has so many fronts to combat that one wonders if they are getting any sleep.
Unfortunately, fear is stalking the land. The word police is out of context in zimbabwe. So is the word justice and order. Power is in the hands of the criminals and the law abiding and innocent people are arrested and labelled criminals now.

Don't the junta have relatives themselves and who do their children play with. Our people have been dehumanised, brutalised and betrayed. No one trusts their brother or neighbour. A witch hunt is in operation within zanu as we speak.

Blatant evil, torture and disregard for other fellow citizens has taken hold of our people's psyche. Even in a war, prisoners of war are fed and treated. In zimbabwe fellow citizens are cold and merciless to those of a different political view point.

All in the name of the junta's whims and murderous designs. They forget they are simply hardening the electorate.
Remember what happened in Haiti under papa doc and what is Haiti like today. An utter shambles.
Reply to this comment --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('263159','Mfan\'ekhaya','Unfortunately, fear is stalking the land.
This is beyond barbaric.

“The police told me this is just politics. We are also under pressure to carry out certain orders,”

The police cannot be exonerated from responsibilty for brutally torturing people under orders.
If police say it is " just politics" that drives them to inflict pain and they would rather not follow those orders - let them testify against the polticians. There must be one who can show the courage of the MDC supporters?
Surely someone, a mother, brother, father or sister in the police force or in the army can feel enough human empathy to be convinced to testify?
If not for humanity's sake -then - perhaps they could report these orders in the name of self preservation knowing that the political landscape has changed and ZANUPF will go .

The ICC got BASHIR's indictment - when will the ICC finally have enough to indict Mugabe?
Reply to this comment --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('262905','Hope O B','This is beyond barbaric. \r\n\r\nâThe police told me this is just politics.
