Beaten at Chimkoko Militia Base

Tortured by Zanu PF thugs

This is YT, who came in for medical treatment yesterday from Mteta village, Mudzi.

On Saturday 19th July, 2008, he and two others were taken from their homes to Chimkoko Militia Base in Mudzi and beaten with sticks by the Zanu PF militia. They were kept there overnight and after being beaten again on the Sunday, were “released” and told to go home.

The militia said “where were you all along, we’ve been waiting for you, you want to sell land to Morgan Tsvangirai, he’s not good, he’s a donkey”.

Where is the commitment of the Zanu PF regime to dialogue when they are not prepared to stop the violence, torture, abductions and arrests and detentions of our officials and members?

The ripple effect of the displacements (and burning peoples homes) is that there are many very sick people coming in for medical treatment as a result of being in the cold. Many of those sick will be immuno-suppressed and therefore more susceptible to opportunistic infections.

There cannot be a way forward until the war against the people of Zimbabwe has been stopped. The war is being viciously waged against the people of Zimbabwe, who exercised their democratic right to vote for a new President and a new Zimbabwe.

This is so awful, so sad. When this is multiplied by all the victims we don’t even know about yet I feel sick. We must stop this. The world needs to be told, again, what is really going on under cover of ‘talks’. Is it possible to make this a downloadable document with the image and date prominent at the top so we can email it to Mbeki, China, Russia - basically everyone we can think of?

Very awful indeed. Don’t worry about sending this to the Chinese or the Russians. They don’t give a toss about this.

I always view them as the worst racists, specially in their guise as saviours of Africa. Believe me, I have lived with some of them. They will never consider a black African as an equal to them. Secondly their sentiments in Africa are fuelled by material gain nothing alse.

Picture a Russian or Chinese sympathising with a beaten African bottom. Not a chance. To them this is the funniest thing ever. A typical depiction of arcaich barbarism, primitive tribal leadership and the biggest circus they have ever beheld.

While capitalising from the unfortunate tragedy of our people. Maybe if we send them to mugabe himself he’ll respond. This can put him off his juicy beef for some weeks.

Remember his response after the Nyadzonia/Chimoio atrocities. He almost gave in. He was forced to fight on by the likes of TEKERE et al.

I can’t help thinking that there are ‘good’ Chinese and Russians - they have brilliant writers and also human rights organisations just like everywhere else. Some Chinese people are fighting their own tyrants - remember Tiananem Square? I hope that the people who open the emails will be, even minimally, affected by these terrible images… and that’s where change starts.

But your suggestion of sending the images to mugabe is good… specially as he claimed recently that he had no idea there was any violence! However, we don’t have any emails for him or other zpf-ers. I checked the database and the only email is Obert Mpofu.

Does anyone have any emails for zanupf and their families? what about mugabe’s daughter in UK? where, how can we get these?

Sorry for blanketing and appearing all negative.

I refer to the so called powerful. Who show their patriotism by racist and inconsiderate/inhumane foreign ventures.

Humans have the capcity for goodness. Some tend to have the worst attitudes fuelled by political gain at the expense of human consideration.

Look at Darfur, Zimbabwe, DRC and many more. Ther humans there turned to brutes who would only think of peace and love when it comes to their pets and children.
