Yet another price shock

I have just been quoted $340,000,000 for a 9kg cylinder of handigas. Our power-cuts are relentless – lasting for an average of 8 hours at a time, so most meals are cooked on a gas stove.

Today’s cash rate for the US dollar is ZWD $12,500 to USD1. The gas cylinder costs the equivalent of USD $27,000 or USD$3,000 per kg.

I am sure I can purchase a car for that price in America.

The self-preservation of a handful of evil people is coming at a very, very high price.

The cost of living is increasing daily at an astonishing rate and it’s simply not sustainable for anyone! The number of people living in poverty gets worse by the day.

This insanity has to stop.

We all pray that Mbeki will find a way forward today as we simply cannot continue along this path.
