Zanu PF might be up to typical filthy dirty tricks this weekend
November 7th, 2008
This is an SMS I received from a credible activist. If this proves to be true, then it sheds light on why people where inexplicably abducted recently (we reported on this on the 5th November). At the time we reported that, we had no idea why on earth, at this stage, Zanu PF would suddenly be abducting people…
There are MDC activists detained at Rhodesville, Highlands, Borrowdale, and Marlborogh police stations. At least 9 activists – all from Banket. We have been reliably informed that that zpf is crafting false allegations to the effect that they received MDC sponsored military training in Botswana and SA. The detained have allegedly been forced to admit this on camera and Zanu PF are carrying this footage with them to the talks in SA as proof that MDC are planning a coup.
Update:
There’s more on ZimOnline here:
President Robert Mugabe’s government has accused Botswana of interference and that it was training youths from opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai’s MDC party to destabilise Zimbabwe, in a dangerous twist to a diplomatic row between the two neighbours.
Jeff Ramsay, press secretary to Botswana President Ian Khama said in a statement that Zimbabwe made the charges at an extraordinary meeting of regional security ministers in Mozambique on Wednesday.
Gaborone denied the charges and immediately asked the inter-state defence and security committee of the regional SADC grouping’s Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Troika as well as the Zimbabwean government to undertake a fact-finding mission to Botswana to probe the allegations, according to Ramsay.

A tired strategy befitting a tired administration. Remember the dissident force created by zanu itself to justify its murders in Matabeleland.
How low some people can stoop.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but in a very recent post I suggested that Mugabe was laying the ground for some form of martial law.
The meeting on Sunday will be a farce and Mugabe will make an anouncement very soon that he has to take full control to ‘save the nation’ or some such other nonsense.
Oh how I hope I’m wrong!!!!
But I’m not.

I could not agree more… unfortunately. Then there are is the ivory which Mugabe sold to the chinese for ammunition (to be flown in this time) etc.
It also appears one of the mobile phone networks in Zim is to cease operating as of monday, I am sure the others will follow in due course. And then, with the flow of information stemmed and the worlds attention diverted by what is going on in DRCongo (I would not be surprised if the zimbabwean forces, which are there to protect Mnangagwas mining interests, would start an offensive in DRCongo), zanus real retribution for the election defeat will begin.
Like you I hope I’m wrong but I doubt it.

I hadn’t heard about the mobile phones, SomeGermanGuy, and it fills me with horror.
We all should know about the involvement in DRC but I’m not convinced that many do!
We can now only wait and see.

My nation, my country, reduced.
Reduced to a dilapidated wasteland by modern, conventional men.
Men who have abused, misused and defiled the meaning of democracy.
What is this,a new form of African iron curtain, perpetrated by the so called liberators. Gold diggers who have gone so deep in the quick sand of their political blunders.
Now we suffer because some one knows what’s best for us, what ever we know is treason, treachery and misinformation.
Now I stand and declare, this is a dark administration, so dark and evil it cringes from itself and the reality it is confranted with.
My home, my nation, my people subjected, and reduced to beggars, criminals, fugitives and recluses from their own, Liberatirs?
