Protestors outside the SADC summit
We received an SMS from someone in Johannesburg saying that the Sandton streets were jammed with protestors. Apparently there are about 2000 MDC protestors, singing and some carrying coffins. The person who sent the SMS also said that there were a further 200 Zanu PF protestors who were having to be protected by the SA police. (I hope they are enjoying their right to protest being protected – pity Zimbabweans don’t get the same treatment from Zim police!). The SMS told us that DRC protestors have joined in with the MDC crowd in a cry to get rid of Robert Mugabe… the DRC crowd are also calling for people to oust Kabila.

Well, we know now that this meeting was yet again a useless exercise.
It’s disgusting, absolutely disgusting, how these SADC leaders can take the more favourable side of Mugabe. This whole sharing thing was a farce to begin with. But why is nobody surprised? The SADC have no leadership and no guts to stand up against an old demented tyrant who thinks he owns Zimbabwe.
And just to remind SA President Motlanthe, Zimbabwe has a grave humanitarian crisis, not just an economic crisis. The SADC will find themselves in deep trouble very soon, when the region turns into total chaos.

@Faraway
so true and the chaos is well on its way, so so sad to think that no one can actually stop this madness.
