When Mbeki says in his letter to Tsvangirai:

Zimbabwe urgently needs precisely the agreed Inclusive Government, to:
• rebuild the state machinery of Zimbabwe;
• enable it to meet the needs of the people;
• overcome the current socio- economic crisis;
• end the threat of the explosion or implosion of Zimbabwe;
• end all manifestations of repression, intimidation and violence; and
• guarantee the democratic and human rights of all Zimbabweans, including their political and other formations.

It’s a confirmation that he knows:

Mugabe and Zanu have destroyed the state machinery of Zimbabwe;
Mugabe and Zanu have not met the needs of the people;
Mugabe and Zanu have created the socio- economic crisis;
Mugabe and Zanu are responsible for manifestations of repression, intimidation and violence; and
Mugabe and Zanu have trampled over the democratic and human rights of all Zimbabweans

Its a pity that Mbeki lacks the courage to tell Mugabe this to his face.

Dear Mr Mbeki,

Your letter reads like that of an obstinate child, or of a third rate civil servant.

It is plain from that you have never been competent to manage the process. Kindly go now.

Yours in disgust,

first of all note the email address on Page 1!!

some highlights for me are:

Page 4: MDC uturn or Thabo mis-representing MDC?
"You will remember your own assistance that in the context of the agreement that there should be two Ministers of Home Affairs, these should serve in rotation, with the MDC (T) appointment taking the first slot"

Page 7
"The MDC (T), like the other Zimbabwe parties, must, within an Inclusive Government, take responsibility for the future of Zimbabwe, rather than see its mission as being a militant critic of President Mugabe and Zanu PF."

Page 9-10 more Thabo rantings
"I say this humbly to advise that it does not help Zimbabwe, nor will it help you as prime minister of Zimbabwe, that the MDC (T) contemptuously repudiates very serious decisions of our region, and therefore our continent, describing them as "a nullity"."

and

"It may be that, for whatever reason, you consider our region and continent as being of little consequence to the future of Zimbabwe, believing that others further away, in Western Europe and North America, are of greater importance."

how do we get rid of Thabo as faciliator and this dreadful bias towards the dictator? He is basically saying to MT to get on with it, ignoring all the ZPF obstacles that have been put in place.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('272493','Jim'); return false;">Reply to this comment</a> --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('272493','Jim','first of all note the email address on Page 1!!\r\n\r\nsome highlights for me are:\r\n\r\nPage 4: MDC uturn or Thabo mis-representing MDC?\r\n\"You will remember your own assistance that in the context of the agreement that there should be two Ministers of Home Affairs, these should serve in rotation, with the MDC (T) appointment taking the first slot\"\r\n\r\nPage 7\r\n\"The MDC (T), like the other Zimbabwe parties, must, within an Inclusive Government, take responsibility for the future of Zimbabwe, rather than see its mission as being a militant critic of President Mugabe and Zanu PF.\"\r\n\r\nPage 9-10 more Thabo rantings\r\n\"I say this humbly to advise that it does not help Zimbabwe, nor will it help you as prime minister of Zimbabwe, that the MDC (T) contemptuously repudiates very serious decisions of our region, and therefore our continent, describing them as \"a nullity\".\"\r\n\r\nand\r\n\r\n\"It may be that, for whatever reason, you consider our region and continent as being of little consequence to the future of Zimbabwe, believing that others further away, in Western Europe and North America, are of greater importance.\"\r\n\r\nhow do we get rid of Thabo as faciliator and this dreadful bias towards the dictator?
Oh Mbeki, Mbeki, Mbeki, you are such a damn fool. You could have prevented this giant humanitarian mess over the many many years as 'facilitator', yet you insist on being Mugabe's puppy and do whatever he says. From a former president, it shows an astounding lack of experience and an incredible weakness on dealing with this crisis in your region.

I can only suspect there are some very intriquing and rewarding money making ventures with Mugabe. Let's hope these activities will be revealed in the very near future.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('272492','Faraway'); return false;">Reply to this comment</a> --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('272492','Faraway','Oh Mbeki, Mbeki, Mbeki, you are such a damn fool.
