No fuel crisis for bob…
December 9th, 2005

The zany pf conference is in full swing in Esigodini, but conditions are muddy and wet. The main road from Bulawayo to the conference site is lined with soggy policeman each attempting to retain a semblance of dignity in pounding rain.
The presidential helicopters regularly scout the area for possible dangers and ferry mugabe to and from the conference venue to Bulawayo airport. Bob is obviously too paranoid to sleep in Matabeleland so he goes home to the capital every night.
Fuel crisis, ha ha.
The Air Zimbudgie flights to Johannesburg are cancelled and the airline has informed Bulawayo passengers they can go from Harare.
I wonder if bob will give them a lift?

Hey, found your blog because of your nomination. My husband is Zimbabwean (Rhodesian) and we have many friends who are trying to exist day to day in Zim. Thanks for your honesty and insight. We can occasionally get calls through and letters through, but it’s obvious the situation is rapidly deteriorating. Keep us posted.

Zimbabwe has come a long way to fear when violence is hutched in our pillows by the infamous regime of zanu Pf and its leader robert Mugabe and his cronies. We must begin to acknowledge good effort and strong conviction from NGO who stand for what is morally and therefore politically right.
Sokwanele has contributed a positive image of Zimbabweans asa resolved people determined to remove reppression and oppression despite propaganda spread within African States by Zanu Pf castigating differing opinion as evil and west influenced to remove despotic leadership.
Having worked tireless and against too many political and physical violence aimed at keeping you from projecting Zimbabwe dilemna, Sokwanele and the cry of Zimbabweans deserve winning as the best African block on projecting a loners’cry.
Most of us in Diaspora stand in praise and exhortation: Keep standing strong Sokwanenle because sokwanele sibili.
