Some questions for the Honourable Minister Dr. Henry Madzorera
Zimbabweans were delighted to have a new MDC Minister of Health. Does anyone know who it is and where he is? Some questions for the Honourable Minister Dr. Henry Madzorera :-
- Can the millions of HIV infected people in Zimbabwe be given assurances that anti retrovirals will be readily available at all OI (opportunistic infection) Clinics throughout the country? Plus the basic antibiotics that go together with the ARV’s?
- Can the Harare Children’s Hospital be restocked and reopened to cater for the hundreds of children in need of hospital care and operations? At present only emergency cases can be handled.
- Has the cholera epidemic been contained satisfactorily (thanks to the MSF)?
- Are rural clinics able to operate again, stocked with all the basic drugs?
I know of two men from a rural area who are in need of an operation to remove their prostate glands due to cancer. Quotes from Bulawayo and Harare are US 4000 for the operation, anaesthetist and hospital. Who has got that sort of money? What are their options? Find US 4000 or die……?
Please Honourable Minister, Zimbabweans would like to hear from you as we are sure you have lots of positive information for us.

Friend, The Honourable Minister has problems like the rest of us. He cannot just pull the chain and expect money to rain down from heaven. Someone somewhere has to earn the money that is required, and give it to that particular cause. And if someone has earned the money and given some of it to that particular cause, we should be very grateful.
The logic of, “Give me because I need”, is flawed. May I ask whether the writer of the above article has donated anything towards this worthy cause from his own earnings?
