But for how long have we waited for our men to carry the spear? How long are we prepared to wait for them to pick up and carry the spear? For how long can we continue carrying the shield for them. At 46 and 47, time is not on our side. Rather than continue carrying the shield, let us be the lionesses protection our cubs by carrying both the spear, the shield and our children on our backs. Let us get women like Anna all over the world to carry the spear and the shield with us. Let us get those men like my brother Trevor Ngwane in South Africa, get world leaders like Chavez, true warriors like George Galloway in the UK on our side. Then, and only then can we start crying. You are not alone Thabitha - but this is not the time to nurse our wounds - let them bleed until real warriours come to our rescue.
