Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on in Chegutu? It looks like a top government official is busy trying to pre-empt the SADC deal between SA and Zimbabwe. Yesterday they were burning tyres either side of the thatched homestead. Sue was inside, alone. She has a throat injury caused by an accident many years ago and had difficulty breathing. Imagine how she felt with the stink of burning tyres. Today they are packing up their home. The thugs are hovering around outside the homestead, armed. Tom and Sues youngest son died in that home. In October, another of their sons died tragically. They don't need this. What right have these thugs got to make demands like this. What right does the Chegutu ZRP have to condone this outright violence, and indeed, assist. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE? WHO IS FINANCING THIS VIOLENCE?
