Talk to each other and make a decision

This received via email:

On Monday 9 July, Harare is a hive of activity as people make their way to work. The traffic flow is at the usual level and everything looks normal. It is the kind of scenario that lends naive visiting sports person to say everything is alright in Zimbabwe.

Yet, more than 33 business executives have spent the weekend in filthy jail cells for trying to keep their businesses float while sticking to the draconian and uneconomic decrees issued from Heroes Acre and ZPF headquarters.

Why is there a semblance of normalcy? Because Zimbabweans always make a plan to find the next solution for the latest problem and this is killing the country by helping to prop up the regime for a while longer. All sane business executives know and understand that it is impossible to run a sustainable business in these conditions.

The public, joyous at first on hearing of price cuts, has woken up to the reality of empty shelves and food shortages.

It is an opportune moment to do what is right and proper both economically and politically, for the sake of the country.

SHUTDOWN.

As long as Zimbabweans give respite to the beleaguered regime by making a plan, so will the regime proportionally continue the destruction of the economy. We have missed several tipping points: Gukurahundi, Farm Invasions, Factory Invasions Part 1, Murambatsvina and now here we are at Factory Invasions Part 2. They have now come for every one and have touched every aspect of Zimbabwean life.

Zimbabweans have a choice to make today, shut down and lets be done with this regime for once and for all or make a plan and keep the regime going. Talk to each other and make a decision.

Condoleezza Rice and George Bush are going to send 250million USD to President Mugabe. Every American knowlegeable in African affairs supports this, and we have sent our emails. Mugabe must be given sufficient resources to revive the gold mines in Western Zimbabwe.
