Censorship by stealth
Like all businesses in the country, the Zimbabwean ISP’s have also been forced to slash their prices to the public, resulting in public upsurge in the demand for Internet access.
But the ISPs are not willing to buy more Internet capacity as their costs have stayed at old inflationary prices, and they’re having to pay those in foreign currency.
The result is a clogged Internet and poor access to service. People are being forced to work outside of regular business hours to avoid snail pace Internet speed.
