Our children in crisis

Today’s mailing to our subscribers is titled ‘Lest we forget : The catastrophic impact of the deepening crisis on Zimbabwe’s children‘. Read it on our new look website. Please note too that we’ll be adding a lot of new (and old) images to our image gallery over the next few days, accessible via flickr and our new website. So please keep an eye out for these too.

Thank you for reminding those of us who continue to be angry and outraged at “M” and the ZANU-PF machine for the absolutely ridiculous handling of the economic and social crisis, that, in the end, it is the children who are the most vulnerable and the least able to fight back. It is one thing to castigate and otherwise “wage war” against ones political enemies - it is another thing entirely to knowingly create an environment that cruelly punishes and otherwise harms the children and young people of a once proud, strong and good nation.
May the shame that belongs to Mugabe and the ZANU-PF never, never be overshadowed by political rhetoric which will someday, no doubt, diminish the awful nightmare of current life in Zimbabwe. May the world NEVER, EVER forget the children of Zimbabwe. May the world never, ever forget the atrocities committed by Mugabe and ZANU-PF against the people and especially the children. May God bless you and all who fight for what is right, decent and good.
