Welcome rain!
We prayed for rain and it came. We’ve had floods of rain almost every day; the ground is sodden and the lawns turning yellow. So much so that two trees in my neighbourhood have simply fallen over, the ground too wet to hold their shallow roots.
The downside of that is that one of them knocked the phone lines. Our dial-up connections have dropped from approximately 46K speeds to 33, at least that’s what we think it is? Or maybe it’s the New Year and a taste of 2008?
Let’s just hope that the welcome rain is falling in the right places, and our dams are filling up!
