Are they really going to announce Robert Mugabe as the winner?
This just in via email:
Dear Sok,
We have just been listening to SW Radio Africa and heard that apparently the ZEC are planning to announce results in the next couple of hours.
The MDC guy they were interviewing, who is based in the USA, insisted he had an impeccable source of information in Harare and his source said that the winner they were going to announce would be Robert Mugabe. The report also said that the delay from the ZEC was because they were wanting to give the security forces time to mobilise and deploy throughout the country to crush any uprisings.
SW presenters also talked about rumours they had heard earlier in the day that the senior security guys had met this afternoon.
We who were listening to this are wondering if it is true?
Sok response: We haven’t heard this yet and will be as appalled as everyone else in the country if the theft is that blatant. Appalled, but not surprised. Zanu PF’s capacity for election theft is incredible.
Let’s hope the people of Zimbabwe, who have seen the results outside the polling station doors with their own eyes, will not let this happen! Let’s also hope the army and security forces will refuse to participate in the oppression of their own people.

Dear security forces.
You cannot support this man any more. You cannot uphold what he is doing without becoming monsters yourselves. You cannot kick yourselves in the stomach with your own cowardice and obedience. Please do not support Mugabe if he will not step down. You cannot do this and still like yourselves, it is not possible, the truth is there for you to see, he must go, let the people be and have their dignity, and keep yours. Disobey.

Can anyone calculate the undisclosed postal votes as a percentage of the voter turnout. Alongside the reports of an over-print of postal ballots, are opposition claims of victory miscalculated. I sincerely hope not. I am concerned that the postal ballot may just tip the scales, albiet with the aid of a heavy ZANU(PF) thumb.

Zimbabweans must follow the true election results as posted outside the polling stations. If anyone tries to “steal” the election, the people must respond in kind, and steal back their country!

I wouldn’t worry overmuch about the Mugabe household! The offspring have gained education through both Zimbabwe and British public expense. Between newspaper and TV interviews and possible books they’ll manage quite well. Who knows, they may become involved in Human Rights activities! Grace in the meantime, with her extensive and expensive wardrobe will no doubt tart herself up and be on the prowl. Mugabe called Makoni a political prostitute, quite forgetting that he had one such creature a lot closer to home.
