This, verbatim from a colleague waiting with us for news. He is a long time activist in Zimbabwean politics:
i am so happy to see change is finally coming to my country. i have worked for 10 years. i think after change we will have a rainbow zimbabwe made up of tolerance and i pray for a prosperous zimbabwe. my president believes that in 100 days we can feed our children again. sehambile!!!! The world’s eyes are now fixeted on Zimbabwe. I say to you my brothers and sisters….the end is gonna be sweet. You have fought a just battle, and against all odds you have uprooted one of the dinosours in Africa. Long live Zimbabwe…long live Africa. We in Kenya pray for you. The end will justify the means. We surely will not want Zimbabwe to go through what Kenya went through.

Yes but how will the country be governed now? The Police are totally corrupt, the army has lost sight of its reason to exist and is simply a mugabe tool. The whole civil service is useless incompetent and corrupt.
How is anyone going to be fed now that the land is ruined. WE have alienated so many white zimbabweans who would willingly have contributed to Zimbabwe’s prosperity.
What credibility will Zimbabwe ever have if and when there is a new government, Very little, their every step will be viewed with suspicion.
Never mind about Sehambile, just ask yourself “Now that he is gone(almost)….WHO is next”???? What policies will these new brooms dream up and for whose benefit ?
Dont count the chickens……..

Go well Bob. Dont worry, we wont ask about what you did. Just run away to Bejing. You have enough money to buy shares in Zhong Xiangzhehing Pvt Ltd. Wish you good luck. I hope air zim has enuf jet fuel to take you there. Remember to return our flight. Tsvangirai might want to use it for his journey to London 2moro..
