C'mon Zimbabwe, I think that the majority of us have not got the clear picture. The elction process i sjusta mere gimmick to show that there is a real possiblity that we the Zimbabwean people are civilized and up-to-date with 'democratic' rule. The real truth of the matter as far as reality is concerned is that the election results are immaterial...WE JUST WANT ZANU-PF and all it's lapdogs gone. Is that not the simple matter? Everything else can be managed civilly without fear or favour s long as the rabbid pit-bulls are in RSPCA (Hague). No more gimmicks- they can keep all the ballot papers, put X's on Bob's name for the rest of the year, we really couldn't be bothered, they should just go!!!
Reply to this comment --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('174233','THaDAd','C\'mon Zimbabwe, I think that the majority of us have not got the clear picture.
Have just seen this and hope the worst will not happen ;

FM: Bulgarians Must Abstain from Visiting Zimbabwe, Political Crisis Likely

3 April 2008, Thursday

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended that Bulgarians abstain from visiting Zimbabwe in the coming weeks.

The recommendation was issued with regard to the likelihood of worsening of the political situation in the African country after the announcement of the official results from the recent parliamentary elections.

The Foreign Ministry also stated that any Bulgarian citizens who are currently in Zimbabwe should contact the Bulgarian Embassy in the capital Harare, or the embassies of other EU member states in case they needed assistance.

For the first time since the country's independence in 1980, the party of Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe does not have a majority in Parliament after it received 97 seats vs. 99 seats for the Movement for Democratic Change in the 210-seat parliament.

The recent parliamentary elections became notorious with the brutal attempts to suppress the opposition rallies.
Reply to this comment --- Quote from this comment

I know we've all had to wait for
this regime change to be effected
for what seems like forever already,
BUT ... suddenly it seems like every
minute that now passes without positive
forward movement is like an unbearable
eternity. I can barely sleep, work, eat
or even breathe normally - I feel like
a zombie stuck in some awful twilight zone
between the living and the dead, totally
out of control of both my own destiny and
that of every other Zimbabwean.
When this is all over, I'm seriously
considering putting out a worldwide petition
for the word "WAIT" to be deleted from all
languages on account of the horrific agony
it causes. Maybe we could buy a better word
on the parallel market.

"The Deputy Information Minister, Bright Matonga, says ZANU-PF is ready for a run-off and are ready for a resulting victory.

Mr Matonga said the party had let the President down and had not diverted enough energy into its campaign.

"In terms of strategy, we only applied 25 per cent of our energy into this campaign," he said.

"That [the run-off] is when we are going to unleash the other 75 per cent that we did not apply in the first case.""

I desperately hope that the above "other 75%
unused energy" Plan B does not insinuate yet
another round of violent suppression to prevent Zimbabweans to get to vote freely and
safely!
Reply to this comment --- <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('174078','Owekay','I know we\'ve all had to wait for\r\nthis regime change to be effected\r\nfor what seems like forever already,\r\nBUT ... suddenly it seems like every\r\nminute that now passes without positive\r\nforward movement is like an unbearable\r\neternity.
