Updates on Operation Makavhoterapapi (where you put your ‘X’)
The images below are of a 22 year old male from Musaruro Village Mudzi. He narrated what happened to him:
The ZPF youth came to my shop on Friday 11 April 2008 at 9pm, broke the door down and dragged me out of the building. The said “you are an MDC member”. They took all the groceries from my shop then burned grass on both my hands. After that they beat my hands and back with wooden poles. I went to Kotwa rural district hospital and they gave me 2 paracetamol – they had nothing else.”
Injuries sustained: Burns to both hands and left arm. 2 metacarpels and 1 metatarsal bones and ulna broken left hand/arm and on the right hand thumb and fifth finger broken.

Below: this is of a 22 year old male from Chibamo Village, Mudzi south. He stated:
15 or so ZPF youth came to my house on Friday 11 April 2008 and started to hit me with fire wood and kick me in the mouth. They beat me on my buttocks, left arm and hand. The perpetrators are known to me (names recorded). They said “why are you supporting MDC, we promise you we are here to vandalise you”.

A passenger on a bus reported seeing a man being hung by his hands from a tree while a group was beating him at Corner Store, between Muhrewa and Mutoko – this took place at approximately 4 pm Sunday 13 April 2008.
Frans Joubert, a Chipinge farmer has been detained in Chipinge Police cells since Friday for allegedly “insulting Pres. Mugabe”. He is being denied access to legal representation and relatives.

Does such brutality form another part of Mbeki’s “There is no crisis in Zimbabwe” theory.
April 14th, 2008 13:30
This is barbaric at its crest. Should we just watch as things go this way people. How can the whole nation be mollified by a single individual because of his own protectionist interests. Freedom comes with a price comrades, lets retaliate!!!!
April 14th, 2008 14:34

It takes courage guys come on lets do something. The whole world must be wondering what kind of (mbwende)people we are? We have have got our pride and humility to defend. Zimbabwe arise [...]!!!
[This was edited slightly to remove calls for war. Sorry Wezhira, your frustration is valid, but we are proponents of non violent democractic change]

Dear Sokwanele,
Please could you post a list of addresses that can be copied and pasted in a very visible place on your site. It is easier to get other people to act if it is as fast as possible to do so.
I am horrified.
April 15th, 2008 00:54
Mbeki, how can you say there is no crisis in Zimbabwe? The quiet diplomacy from African leaders must end. Zimbabwe is suffering and it is only going to get worse. My prayers are with all of you still in Zimbabwe. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing†The best of luck with the general strike tomorrow. Lauren, Sydney

Show proof you might have regarding Mugabe`s wife using taxpayers money or shadafakap madafaka!!!
For as long as your fight is against Mugabe you`ll get my wrath.I`m sick to death of this conpiratorial plot against one person as if he is the one-man-show whereas he`s a part of his government but tackling security issues as part of his tasks.
however he is giving you the war that you seek with him-enjoy the going as it gets tough!
June 18th, 2008 01:38
This time you are right Tim. There is no proof of taxpayers’ money. What do you expect! there is literaly no economy in Zimbabwe. The system of taxation has faltered but I’ll tell you what the source for her funds is. It’s hard work. Hard work, looting the poor downtroden people of Zimbabwe’s resources. In case you didn’t know, there is a substantial amount of Zimbabwean former taxpayers in SA and other parts of the world. You are really correct this time. Obviously according to you it is wealth well deserved. How I envy your insight and wisdom!

Don`t cooperate with these buffoons with fraudulent degrees and doctorates which are given to them by capitalists on a silver-platter from the south african regime-mugabe since they are pushed by their capitalists masters and benefactors to interfere in favourt of morgan,
You deal with sadc and end of story. All their depatrtments are crumbling…the latest being the Post Office and they want to go around the world lecturing others on how to govweern.
Lock Morgan and Bush up for treason, sedition and economic sabotage and continue running the show because I want to come and live in Zimbabwe after the 27th.

There are so many important things to think about and discuss at this stage in our history; before you reply to this guy, please ask yourself whether the energy expended is worth it.

SALUTE HONOURABLE PRESIDENT MUGABE!YOU HAVE TAUGHT YOUR ENEMIES A GREAT LESSON THAT YOU ARE AT NOBODY`S BECK AND CALLL AND THEY ARE REALLY FROYHING AND FOAMING SALIVA OUTTA THEIR STINKING MOUTHS.
GIVE THEM THE HIDING OF THEIR LIVES SIR UNTIL THEY MELLOW.THAT TSVANGIRAI AND HIS WEST MASTERS MUST BE TAKEN TO HAGUE FOR SABOTAGING YOUR COUNTRY`S ECONOMY.DON`T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO COIRRUPTED,GREEDY AND PARASITIC zUMA SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN PAID WITH BROWN`S POUNBDS TO DEMONISE YOU SINCE WITH ALKL THE PILING-UP OF PROBLEMS IN THEIR OWN ORGANIZATION THEY CAN`T GO TELL YOU-A VERY SUCCESSFUL RULER WHAT TO DO.
Zuma is and has been dropping words from his lips without hearing himselves and with this Zimbabwe saga he is just doing the same so that he must be in the papers since if he would have been applying his mind in his utterances on Zimbabwe he would never have equated the Zimbabwe situation with the struggle since its far-removed from the struggle but has to do with issues of governance where the imperialists wants to oust Mugabe because they have lost favour and confidence with himn and replace him with their charlatan apparitchik,Morgan.

In Africa cry only the Blessed halalaa…and Mugabe is one of those.Yes,the recent elections were free and fair and Mugabe won themfreely despite the sponsored violent campaign of the West he beat Tsvangirai freely.
Now he must be given the chance torule and stabilise the country and SADC must throw its llot behind his endeavours toundothe damage that the West caused in its attempt todestabilise the country.
If Bush attempt touse his bomber-planes tooust himhe willbe defended.China has got its own bomber planes waiting todefend Mugabe when called upon to doso.

Thanks Sokwanele – I was about to go against my own advice about the same matter blogged a couple of weeks ago, but your note brought sense back!
If I look at your mission – “Sokwanele – Zvakwana is a peoples’ movement, embracing supporters of all pro-democratic political parties, civic organizations and institutions in Zimbabwe. Sokwanele and Zvakwana both mean ‘enough is enough’ in the vernacular.” – it occurs to me that printing this sort of stuff is not required by you in a spirit of fairness. Neither Anon nor Tim subscribe to your vision, neither contribute meaningfully or constructively, and damn, apart from getting us to share your burden of filtering the diatribe, maybe you shouldn’t bother publishing it! They’ll have to get their rocks off elsewhere.
I read this blog avidly because I support MDC, Morgan, freedom, sensible government, and I would guess so do most. Cheers Tim & Anon – good luck!

Tim singiswa has always struck me as a man (I assume he is) who throws punches randomly and gets easily tired in the process. The result is that he ends up shouting high sounding nothings.
Ants has aptly quoted the values and aims of Sokwanele, Singiswa is stuck in the perception that a murderer is a hero. Killing his own people in the name of being anti west. What ever happened to intellectual political debate, respect for your own people, considering their views and accepting that you have erred because we are all fallible.
That is why we have fora like parliamentary debates etc. To Singiswa this is alien. He’d prefer the ZANU kangaroo courts which he has never experienced himself no wonder he’s so loud.
Does this person know that Mugabe’s apology for one of his blunders in Matabeleland was the statement ‘..it was an act of madness’ (which must have left a bitter taste in his mouth because of his misplaced pride.)
How many acts of madness is Singiswa’s hero going to perform.
And Singiswa will be there clapping his hands like a demented Chimpanzee trying to find another intellectual excuse to legitimise murder in the name of Afrocentricism.
What a disgrace to the African citizens and intellect.
The likes of Singiswa would blame their own mothers for their misfortunes and not flinch from accusations that they were the very blunderers.
July 4th, 2008 15:52
Tim Singiswa
Do you know what has happened to the Zimbabwean people’s psyche. Do you know what trauma they have gone through. Do you even understand the difference between right and wrong. Do you know what politics is?
I’ll define it for you, ‘It is about leading people with their consent and it’s a two way process’
Please do not distort obvious political issues. Please study your politics and apply your understandind of it in a constructive way rather than a parochial one.
The latter will make you look unwise and a victim to abuse which you seem to obviously delight in. How sad.
July 4th, 2008 23:46
You are right Sokwanele.
Singiswa’s comments are the type which you feel like responding to because they are so offensive naive and tempt one to correct or advise.
Something like those grafiti smears you find in public toiltets and wish you could clean away yet they persist!?
This one is beyond redemption.
July 5th, 2008 09:44
Mandela should be hanging his head in shame right now for his unashamedly pawning Honourable President Mugabe to the British aristocrats,Queen, imperialists, capitalists, colonialists and missionaries for their bloodied monies, knightings and awards and I should not be blamed for asking if did he cohort the queen to strip Mugabe of his knighthood or was it a coincidence that he must follow this with condemnation of Mugabe while in Britain whereas here at home he is quiet like a wet duck.
I challenge him to repeat his remarks which sat well with imperialists in Mugabe`s face so that Mugabe can have the chance to respond not under the skirts of the Queen.
July 5th, 2008 10:34
Hey motor-mouth you have said a mouthful with four consecutive comments and all that you did was to irritate and annoy me because you are sidelining thew real issues and only want to hear what you want to hear not what you must hear
You`re right when you say only mad men ambush people unprovoked and this exclude Mugabe since he is doing what is expected of him as a President to defend National Security.
In the past in South Africa there were certain political rallies that were not permitted because the previous government received Intelligence gathered information that they had ulterior motives meaning that they were intended to be violent with the aim of creating destabilisation and this is no different from Zimbabwe.
For decades the rightwingers, armed forces, imperialists, capitalists and colonialists have been planning to oust or eliminate Mugabe and he is justified in employing strong security measures against the plotters and their baits which is ordinary people.
You still has not responded to my call that you present tangible and visible evidence that the attackers were Zanu-pf,cio or war veterans militias.

Resolution adopted by the General Assembly
[without reference to a Main Committee (A/55/L.2)]
55/2. United Nations Millennium Declaration
The General Assembly
Adopts the following Declaration:
United Nations Millennium Declaration
I. Values and principles
1. We, heads of State and Government, have gathered at United Nations
Headquarters in New York from 6 to 8 September 2000, at the dawn of a new
millennium, to reaffirm our faith in the Organization and its Charter as
indispensable foundations of a more peaceful, prosperous and just world.
2. We recognize that, in addition to our separate responsibilities to our individual
societies, we have a collective responsibility to uphold the principles of human
dignity, equality and equity at the global level. As leaders we have a duty
therefore to all the world’s people, especially the most vulnerable and, in
particular, the children of the world, to whom the future belongs.
3. We reaffirm our commitment to the purposes and principles of the Charter of
the United Nations, which have proved timeless and universal. Indeed, their
relevance and capacity to inspire have increased, as nations and peoples have
become increasingly interconnected and interdependent.
4. We are determined to establish a just and lasting peace all over the world in
accordance with the purposes and principles of the Charter. We rededicate
ourselves to support all efforts to uphold the sovereign equality of all States,
respect for their territorial integrity and political independence, resolution of
disputes by peaceful means and in conformity with the principles of justice and
international law, the right to self-determination of peoples which remain
under colonial domination and foreign occupation, non-interference in the
internal affairs of States, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms,
respect for the equal rights of all without distinction as to race, sex, language
or religion and international cooperation in solving international problems of
an economic, social, cultural or humanitarian character.
July 5th, 2008 14:11
Sooo,my contention here its thaT the government rushed into silencing us by legislating that any offensives aainst foreigners and framing our people with its illegal circumstantial arrest of our people claimihng it is doing all this in the name of the UN but this resolution and Declaration impose upon the government to uphold its clauses so as to comfort, convenience, grant opportunities and benefits, secure and safeguard citizensand this proliferation of these indigent foreigners and the preferential treatment they receive from this government was what sparked th uprisings which were very quick to be hijacked by our enemies and racists to bring an offensive against us.
There is nowhere where the UN order countries to amit people claiming to be refugees even before they can be classified as such but that countries must ensure that they are treated in accordance with the Human Rights culture and it created the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to take charge of asylum seekers and refugees welfare and welbeing.
Now,this body is not fulfilling that task but they are on holiday in this country investing in upmarket properties, frequenting 5-star hotels and purchasing 4×4`s and passing the buck on to this government.
July 5th, 2008 20:19
Hi there Tim
From your above rantings, you must be a racist, tribalist and a bigot. You even have the audacity to quote UN resolutions out of context.
I am a black Zimbabwean who has experienced the brutality of this hero of yours whom you defend so dogmatically like one of his sycophantic henchmen who know their demise if they don’t.
It is unfortunate that an off shore observer like yourself is so ill informed and goes on to chant defensive utterences about a man who
has lost his dignity as a statesman and is clinging on vitriol which he knows will whip up murderous emotions from the likes of you.
Firstly, have you ever heard of what the rule of law means. People have tried to give you some expositions about the situation in Zimbabwe. You go on to ignore this and choose to be offensive.
Who knows, you may be Mugabe’s grandchild. We hear that he has a long forgotten son somewhere close to where you are.
Get real man. Who is your hero answerable to besides himself. After 28 years of bad governance you see perfection in him, you really must be out of your mind.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-haa-haaaaaaaaa,phew!I have never laughed like I did when I peruse this article that sounds like its written by a pre-primaqry school teacher in front of his toddlers class!eeeeee.
I even chose not to respond to its kindergarten contents so as not to stoop so low in character to the levels of this “black mampara”.Byyyyeeeee!hahahaaa…

Tim, I suggest you look at that beautiful baby camping outside the SA Embassy and ask yourself: Who is really the future of Zimbabwe,
he, or the old man Bob? just ask yourself that for a change.

Remember you are in SA. i DESPARATELY hope this infectious situation in Zim does not affect your country. Because it potentially could. Please stop this because you are only theorising about it you have no inkling about what this means in reality.
You don’t even know the extent to which which some of us have gone in order to use the internet.
Only to find ourselves debating with knitwits like you.
July 7th, 2008 00:50
I remember reading some of Singiswa’s blogs some time back. The text was erratic the caps lock and small letters mixed up.
His comprehension skills were atrocious. He couldn’t tell sarcasm from fact.
He has described one contributor as a ‘pre-primaqry’ school teacher. Typical!
Be comforted sister or brother Thutshu, someone is learning, and fast. Albeit with a few hiccups of political fact and denial.
July 7th, 2008 13:20
You Zimbabweans from Bulawayo are stupid for the fact that you just like these South African blacks failed to disempower your former oppressors after independence who still control economy and mines and farms and the industry so really you are not worth my bledi attention.
You still consider yourselves servants of the white and I ndian race as we see you all over the world offeribng your cheap labour to them.
Don`t call me lazy,murderer,rapist,barbarian,monster and robber-please-asamblief alien,kwerekwere,grigamba,asylum,refugee!
