Chinese vessel carrying weapons destined for Zimbabwe
We wrote about a few Chinese goings on earlier. The story about the arms destined for Zimbabwe seems to now be confirmed:
Leonard Hadebe, head of Durban Customs told Sapa: “We have confirmed that the shipment was headed for Zimbabwe. It arrived at the Durban Harbour on April 14.
“Right now the ship is awaiting clearance. If they are carrying any prohibited or illegal goods, they will be detained by customs,” said Hadebe.
And:
Inspector Nicholas Gunther of the SA Explosives Unit in Durban told Sapa the vessel - called ‘An Yue Jiang’ - was carrying a shipment of arms.
“We went there just now and they are not being allowed in,” he said. “There was a problem with the documents they submitted and we have directed the matter to the Chief Inspector of Explosives in Pretoria, Senior Superintendent van Sittert and it may take days for them to get clearance,” said Gunther.

Chinese troops and Chinese weapons? Now that is ominous.

Now the question is for what purposes are those arms for at this point in time.
The international community should brace up to this monster called Mugabe .
The UN at this point should intervene to the Mugabe and his cronies elections were a non event, the tax payers money that was used to run the eletions and some one wakes up and says he wants a re-run before the results are even out.
The SADC hAS NOT GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN ORGAN OF ITS SUPPOSED FUNCTION , IT DOESNT EXIST, How could they all sucum to this little oldman who is also a little dot in Zimbabwe.
Shame on you SADC I for one and the Zimbabwean pple at large do not recognise your existance at all.
They didnt have what it takes-the balls. to send kaMugabe for packing, kachembere kanetsa aka.

There is no doubt we are heading for a 4th Chimurenga with this monster called Mugabe against unarmed civilians. What should we do now? The ballot has proved useless, the judiciary has also proved toothless, SADC leader have turned their back against the people of Zimbabwe. SO WHAT’S NEXT??????????

And dont expect the wester nations to take action about this, as China is ther blue eyed boy of the west with it’s cheap labour rates.

Are you surprised at this who backed Mugabe during the war…..did you see the chinese in Namibia and Congo programmes and Mugabe says Zimbabwe will never be a colony again watch out the yellow nation is coming…….and if they thought the brits were bad at least they had a sense of social responsiblity and fairness don’t think the chinese do. When Ian Smith said we were fighting communism I thought it was propaganda but Im changing my mind rapidly

what the hail is wrong with this silly old man?i think he should vacate the state house the Kabila way.

Mugabe was always backed by China and North Korea thats why the West turned a blind eye towards him, after the USA signed a trade and Labour agreement with china in the early 80s.
Nkomo was backed by the Russians who were the bad boys on the block at that time.

When is the world going to wake up. And Lame Duck Mbeki says “No crisisin Zimbabwe”. Is the man really not seeing what is happening or is he afraid to tell it all? Or is there another reason for his treatment of the innocent lives in Zim.

Let ZANU be warned that “rwendo rwuno hazvikoni”. This is now “Gukurahundi” on national scale being crafted by Emmerson Mnangagwa, again.
April 16th, 2008 23:31
This may not have that much to do with communism, more likely pure commercialism. Chinese goods are now valued worldwide, and AK-47s (if that is what they are) are no exception. The question remains: Whose is ordering and trafficking this trans-shipment of arms, and what is its official purpose?
April 17th, 2008 10:09
Perhaps details of off-loading and routes to be taken could be published if anyone has them, might be a good idea to track and photograph this shipment to its’ destination.

The more attention this shipment gets, the greater the chance that it may somehow be stopped.

Dont say i dint tell you. Brace yourselves for a 4th Chimurenga battle. Dont be caught unawares.
April 19th, 2008 00:44
its time the masses united and fought this beast before those Chinese mongers help him swallow an innocent nation. Tsvangirai, come back home and lead your people to a brighter future!!! The police and army will follow you, they are also suffering, its just a few that are sick enough to be fine with killing their brothers and sisters without feeling bad about it. THE OLD MAN AND HIS GENERALS CAN BE STOPPED BUT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN STOP HIM.

The shipment is NOT heading for Zimbabwe, but will remain in South Africa! Am I the only idiot that knows this?
April 21st, 2008 16:40
Please do not make comments like “yellow nation”. Don’t you think we’ve had enough of references to peoples’ skin colour? Does the shipment of weapons represent all Chinese people? Think about what you are saying.
