The ship sems to have vanished again. Some speculation that the SA NAVY ship SAS Drakensberg (a replenishment ship capable of delivering 5000t of bunker fuel headed out of Simons Town yesterday. SA Navy denies it is going to re-fuel the An Yue Jiang. Let’s hope they are telling the truth.
Hopefully some independant party can verify this by satellite monitoring.

Hi everyone
We have set up an ‘Action Contact Database’, based initially on the suggestions in this thread.
You can now submit contact suggestions for campigns to the database via this form here.
The database can be viewed at this link here on our main website. There will be further development as time goes by to both pages.
I feel with this tool we are really geared up to get things going much faster and to preempt activities.
The ship has disappeared, but don;t let out of sight be out of mind.
Mugabe is determined to get weapons - he needs them - we need to think laterally on how to stop him.
Can I direct you back to my comment here, ask you to visit the database, and then perhaps help fill in the missing bits of information we need.
I am dreaming now of a full arms embargo against Zimbabwe. I think it might be hard to achieve, but we need it.

Sokwanele,
You may already have lernt that the Prime Minister Brown met Zuma in London yesterday (I must say I don’t think listening to Zuma that he could Zoom anywhere!! But hey that’s another story.
Anyway PM Brown is asking for an arms embargo in Zimbabwe. He even mentioned it in Parliament yesterday. But unfortunately when Zuma was interviewed by the UK media he was still saying it is not necessary at this time. So when will he decide that it is necessary then?
I have heard from one of those bush pilots in Namibia who says the shipment story is all over Namibia and he heard that the ship is going back around the Cape. That’s great news but is it really going home?
I think the blogger who suggested that the ship should be checked for its arms cargo when it gets back to China is on to something. However I am uncertain that any result would be the truth.
It seems to me that with all that is going on in Zimbabwe the truth is an unkown factor.
By the way your database is very useful and so is the map of currently known atrocities. I have sent the link to my local member of parliament and asked him to take action too.
Sadly he is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike so don’t hold your breath!

the current situation calls for african states to ensure that that ship does not dock in any port on the african continet. no military action should be under taken either. it is a chinese registered ship. an option is to let it dock, unload the cargo and destory the cargo. Israeli intelligence estimates that their should be another shipment to be made soon of chinese made version of the AK 47,SKS, RPG. therfroe it is in the best intrest of any african state to prevent that ship from docking at any cost. the south african Navy has sent out the SAS Drakensberg to refuel the ship so as to allow it to sail back to china.
