reading material

This was emailed to us (click to enlarge), as ’street reading material’ available in Zimbabwe for those who do not have access to email or the internet. Some of it looks familiar, and its great to know that our mailings are passed on beyond email. Thank you for that!

The longer the delay in the announcement of the results of the presidential election the more confidence the world becomes of the MDC’s claims to have won the election outright and with out the need for a run-off. Clearly ZANU-PF and ZEC’s inaction is a sign of a truth too ghastly to contemplate from their perspective.
Today is the 28th day since the election and still no sign of results; it is the seventh day since the start of the recount during which ZEC has been able to do nothing more than confirm two of the 23 disputed results. The dictator clings on to power while the world knows that he has been defeated!

    SADC wants results by Saturday

‘The Southern African Development Community has warned Zimbabwe that it will accept no more excuses from the Zimbabwean Electoral Commission (ZEC) if it fails to release the results of the Zimbabwean presidential elections by Saturday.’

How can we help get more of these printed and distributed in Zimbabwe? Maybe translated into vernacular languages as well?

Reuters is reporting that the police have raided the MDC headquarters, and taken everyone away in a crowded bus. What a way to treat the party that won the election, while the ominous silence from ZEC continues. Is this a precursor to the announcement of rigged results?

I see also that it is now being reported that ZEC have now announced the results of nine of the 23 recounted constituencies - in all of these there had been no change in the results. It would be nice to know which constituencies they are, and which ones are still outstanding.

So … someone reading this blog copied the file above from our site and sent it to SWRadio who have in turn already sent it out to a few people who could possibly use it as well.

Being on the list they sent it to, I received a copy of the file back in my inbox this morning.

    Great work, whoever that was.

    Hope
