“May a continual strong stream of prayer and supplication flow up to the Lord On behalf of all the people on this DAY OF PRAYER, exhorting His divine intervention throughout the nation.”

I was privileged to pray with some Zimbabweans st my church this morning. They were so pleased to hear that the world was praying for and with them today. I say, starting with today, we pray without ceasing for God’s intervention in Zimbabwe and for an end to violence against people and animals.

I wiil suggest that all churces will condone the violence perpetrated by Mugabe and his party supporters.These people should accept defeat .People have spoken.Lets Support President Morgan Tsangirai as the new elected President of Zimbabwe

The Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu, will be conducting prayers for Zimbabwe on the hour, throughout the day, at York Minster.

Amongst others:-

Put thou thy trust in God,
In duty’s path go on;
Walk in His strength with faith and hope,
So shall thy work be done.

Commit thy ways to Him,
Thy works into His hands,
And rest on His unchanging word,
Who heav’n and earth commands.

Though years on years roll on,
His cov’nant shall endure;
Though clouds and darkness hid His path,
The promised grace is sure.

Give to the winds thy fears:
Hope, and be undismay’d,
God hears thy sighs and counts thy tears;
God shall lift up thy head.
