‘Action heroes’ – standing strong for June 27
May 16th, 2008

Sokwanele will be releasing regular e-card designs in the days leading up to the run-off election, now scheduled for June 27. We’d like to ask everyone around the world to join us and use them to help all Zimbabweans stay fully engaged with their hope and confidence for the future, especially after the swathe of violence that has been inflicted on the nation.

Our ‘action hero’ design is also available in two versions to use towards making a t-shirt. These are also available for you to download from our website.
You can send e-cards either by visiting our website at this link and using our e-card mailing system [link], or you can download and send this image as an attachment (right click on the image above and save to your desktop).
Click here [link] to go to the t-shirt section of our website. We’ve provided directions on how to turn the designs into t-shirts. Please tell us if there are better t-shirt printing resources in your areas and we’ll update the links on the site.
When you send these images, we encourage you to write motivational words to go with them. Tell people how strong we are when we stand together, and remind them that the world is with us all the way in our difficult journey towards freedom and democracy.
Please ask everyone you send the image to to pass it on to others, adding their own words.
If you live in the diaspora, please make a big effort to share news with people in Zimbabwe anyway you can.
Let’s get ready together, with the world standing alongside in spirit, shoulder to shoulder.

Sokwanele,
Excellent campaign material! Meanwhile our former Head of State appears to have taken leave of his senses this time irreversibly I think. Read this http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/080516/world/zimbabwe_vote_mugabe_2
Why on God’s earth the MDC, as the victors would be murdering and mauling ZANU supporters beats me and why wait five weeks into the mayhem to make this “revelation”? Somethings never change and Mugabe & Co are determined to remain fossilized. I am not sure who is expected to believe this nonsense!

Where can I send my Diaspora ballot? We have 6 weeks. We could paper a good part of the world in that time.

Would it be considered bribing if you sent money to buy train, aeroplane and bus tickets for the people in Zimbabwe? If you pay for people to return to Zimbabwe to vote on the day they still have the choice how they vote?
@Sokwanele can you please put a detailed discription of the rules of engagement for voting…No postal votes except for those who are civil servants, army and embassy workers? No votes to residents only? No votes unless you are in the area of your residence? No vote unless you are on the electoral role already?
