Zimbabwe: Emergency Relief Appeal
From the Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation
The terrible attacks against civilian voters in Zimbabwe are leaving behind hundreds of mutilated and injured men, women and children, many of whom have also had their homes burned and all their possessions destroyed. ZBF is coordinating and funding a series of emergency assistance projects to send medical supplies, blankets, food packs and basic building materials directly to the traumatised victims. We appeal for your help now.
If you want to help directly in a project to shelter traumatised children, or pay for torture victims’ medical treatment, or to help a now-homeless grandmother to rebuild her hut before the winter cold arrives, then please visit one of our projects. When you make your donation you may specify which project you would prefer to assist. Since the situation on the ground in Zimbabwe – and indeed, now in the slums of South Africa – changes from day to day, we will be updating and adding projects as we go along. We will also be supplying feedback and updates on this website so that donors can see how each project is progressing. Please visit this site regularly and pass the link along to and friends you feel may be as concerned as you are.
ZBF has a successful record of raising and deploying funds on a number of projects in Zimbabwe that have made a vital difference to the lives of many of the beneficiaries. Your donation will enable us to build on a base of existing support and projects in one of the world’s neediest countries.
On behalf of the defenceless people of Zimbabwe, thank you.

How Skeptical are we of these things? We watch TV here in the UK and see that this administrator of a charity gets paid huge fees and wonder how much goes to the actual people…..Im not an uncharitable person I know that… and I help in my own way more on a personal basis but I know that I have this thing about Charities with respect here in the UK…Im not dissing this charity… Im sure it is very good but when I went to see the account etc I see the top guy resigned in 2006…My kids call me a control freak and you can see it coming out in this blog but…hey got to be careful….Im negotiating with helpsavezimbabwe and trying to see if we can combine both ipetition hard to do when you both live on opposite sides of the world and don’t know each other from a bar of soap…… if you or someone would like to post the charity link on the facebook causes Remove Robert Mugabe from Zimbabwe please do…….there is a growing audience there….

ARE THERE ANY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS BEYOND AFRICA THAT ARE IN A POSITION TO ACT ON BEHALF OF ZIMBABWE?
As we know Burma, China, other parts of Africa and many places that have been hit by very distessing situations have seen help.
Here we have a critical disaster but there has been very little done to offer the nescessary assistance so far
Death threats to relevant leaders were made last year before elections took place; the situation has been magnified since. APPROPRIATE
PROTECTION AND ACTION IS DESPERATLEY NEEDED which goes beyond charity work, though any strong hands would be much appreciated there at this stage.
Distruction is evident and a re-build is essential to re-establish what belonged to a once wealthy nation.
Is there anybody out there who is in a position to act?
