Law Society of Zimbabwe: Model Constitution of Zimbabwe (2010)
  1. Everyone has the right to State-funded education from pre-school to primary level.
  2. Everyone has the right establish and maintain, at their own expense, independent educational institutions of reasonable standards, provided they do not discriminate on any basis prohibited by this Constitution.
  3. An Act of Parliament or a provincial law may provide for the registration of schools referred to in subsection (2) and for the disestablishment of any such schools that do not meet reasonable standards prescribed for registration.

  2. The State must take appropriate measures, within the resources available to it to–
    1. afford adults access to basic and continuing education; and
    2. afford equitable access to higher education.

  2. Every person has the right to establish and maintain, at their own expense, independent educational institutions of reasonable standards, which are registered by the state and do not discriminate on the basis of race or ethnicity, or on any other ground prohibited in section 19.
